Heat resistant steel has creep resistance, oxidation resistance, hydrogen brittleness resistance and corrosion resistance under the high temperature. According to its chemical composition and microscopic structure, heat resistant steel includes pearlitic steel, martensitic steel, ferrittic steel and austenitic steel. The main alloy elements of heat resistant steel are chromium, molybdenum, vanadium, niobium, titanium, tungsten, nickel, etc.
The existence of these alloying elements ensures the heat resistance and certain corrosion resistance of heat resistant steels. Heat resistant steel welding wire is mainly used in welding pipelines, containers, petroleum refining equipments, crackers, steel-made reactors and heat exchangers under high temperature, high pressure and hydrogen brittleness resistance condition. Its storage and usage notes are the same as mild steel welding wires, for details please see “mild steel welding wire description”.
